WHAT WE’VE BEEN WORKING ON

HISTORIC ZANDVOORT TROPHY

On Sunday, the 7th of May 2023, I visited a car event at Zandvoort Circuit, Netherlands. Last year I also went to an event in May organized by Nationaal Oldtimer Festival and I really enjoyed it, which is why this year I decided to go again.

Me and a couple friends went out there in the early morning and throughout the day, we’ve seen really cool cars and builds. A Chevy-swapped Opel which the owner worked 2,5 years on, a Opel Lotus Omega (a dream car of mine), Toyota Supra and Chaser, Porsche 944’s and other original and tuned cars.

Except for the rain near the end, it was a great day. Lots of happy people and such a good vibe. Many people also came for a talk or took photos. And it was filled with so many cool cars. I’ll definitely visit again!

FORGOTTEN CITROËNS

I had the pleasure of doing a photoshoot of abandoned Citroëns in a barn recently, and it was a great experience. The owner was kind enough to show us around and let us take pictures of the amazing collection, which consisted of around 60 Citroëns, including some rarer models.

The lighting in the barn was absolutely perfect, giving the cars a moody and dramatic look that was nice for photography. It was such a thrill to walk around and explore the space, admiring the unique features and details of each car.

But what really stood out to me was the story behind the collection. The person who showed us around was working on restoring the Citroëns one by one with his dad, and they had managed to save most of them from the scrapyard. It was heartening to see such dedication and passion for preserving these vintage cars.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to capture the beauty and character of these abandoned vehicles. If you’re interested in vintage cars, or just appreciate automotive photography, you definitely won’t want to miss this page on my website.

COFFEE RUN IN ZAANDAM

On the 29th of April, 2023, car enthusiasts in Zaandam, the Netherlands, were treated to an exciting event organized by Collecting Cars – the Coffee Run. This gathering, which was the second edition of its kind in the country, brought together a diverse community of automotive enthusiasts.

This second edition of the event took place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM near Hembrugterrein. Visitors were treated to a great varietyof impressive cars, ranging from sleek modern models to meticulously maintained classics. For example, think of Porsche 944’s, a Jaguar D-Type replica, Renault Clio RS V6, Lucid Air and much more.

The Coffee Run in Zaandam was blessed with great weather, making it an even more enjoyable experience. The sun was shining brightly, and mostly clear skies provided the perfect backdrop for the event. I had a great time!
