MY PERSONAL REVIEW AND EXPERIENCE
Coffee Run in Zaandam was an event organized by Collecting Cars. I had never been to one of their events, but a friend of mine invited me to come and I decided to go. And I’m happy I did!
Overall, this event was quite well organized. Enough space for all the cars, people guiding you to your spot and mostly nice people (one man was touching stuff inside someone else’s car and another was insulting every car he saw). Other than keeping an eye on the man who touched stuff, it didn’t bother me too much.
The event was quite early in the morning. It started at 9.00 already at Hemkade. It was early but that also kind of fit the event. Otherwise you might’ve had lots of teenage carspotters there. I think it was nice. I did not stay the full three hours the event was being held, but still quite some time. A couple of my favorite cars were the pink/purple Silvia (very clean), the V6 Clio RS, the duo of classic Porsches (one with a dog), the Jaguar D-Type replica and the Subaru Impreza without a spoiler.
In the end, a really fun event to attend. Nice people, nice cars and a cool location. Maybe next year on the Hembrugterrein right next to it, with more cars? 😉
